How to Sail Freedom Harbor

You lead a small colonial settlement. Manage resources, build the harbor town, put settlers to work, and trade at the dock to grow into a thriving port.

Each Turn

  • Buildings with workers produce or consume resources automatically.
  • Every settler eats 1 food if housed (has a housing credit) or 2 food if not.
  • Settlers need warmth: 1 wood per turn is used per settler. If a Fire Ring is not built, each settler eats extra food to help stay warm.
  • Every house uses 1 wood per turn for heating.
  • A group of travelers may ask to join โ€” accept or decline.
  • Fields/orchards periodically produce bonus seeds/fruit trees. Seeds/fruit trees may also be purchased from traders.

Building & Workers

Click a building in the Build list, then click an empty land tile to construct it. Click a built tile to assign or remove workers.

Land

Buy new land tracts to the West or South for 100 gold each to expand your settlement.

Difficulty

Relaxed is the classic experience above. Challenging adds hardships, recruitment voyages, and more. Brutal pushes further still: faster population growth, hungrier mules that need hay, and a deeper industrial chain โ€” sulfur, saltpeter, gunpowder, stone, cannons, and fireworks.

Trade

Once you build a Dock, random traders will occasionally arrive with goods to buy or sell. You can also send a Ship out loaded with goods โ€” it returns in 5 turns with gold from the sale (prices fluctuate).

Notes

Fields produce Vegetables ๐Ÿฅ• and Orchards produce Fruit ๐Ÿ‡. Vegetables/fruit may also be purchased from traders.
